On March 17th, Apple is going to have a keynote showing “a sneak peek at the iPhoneOS 3.0 software”, their brand new firmware for the iPhone and iPod Touch!
Yesterday, Scott Forstall introduced iPhoneOS 3.0 at the Keynote in Cupertino, California. You can watch the keynote here.

According to Scott Forstall, these are only a few of the over 100 new features they packed into iPhoneOS 3.0. The update will be shipping this summer and will be free for the iPhone and iPhone 3G, however it will cost $9.95 for the iPod Touch and iPod Touch 2G.
The Software Developers Kit or, SDK, is now available for download via Apple’s Developer area, the 3.0 beta is also available. Keep in mind that you will need a Apple Developer account to login and download these files.
